AMX Residential Remote Boxes are compact units that can be placed anywhere
in a home, extending the connectivity of the Landmark system while eliminating
many long runs of control cable to AMX cardframes. Remote Boxes communicate
with the Landmark system via the AMX Residential data bus, using one of
the two RJ-45 ports on the rear panel. The other RJ-45 port can be used
for daisy-chaining additional devices. On all remote boxes LEDs on the
front panel indicate power and link status. IR Out and IR IN LEDs illuminate
when commands are sent or received. An ID button provides ID information
to the Landmark system that facilitates easy connection of the physical
Remote Contact Box with the correct Remote Contact Box in software. All
Remote Boxes come with a 12VDC power supply.
Remote Television Control Center (TCC)
The TCC Remote Television Control
Center controls TV, video projector, and media sources via four IR ports.
IR commands are received via a built-in IR sensor on the front of the box
or by an optional external Xantech IR sensor that plugs into a Phoenix
connector on the rear panel. TV or projector power (signal) is sensed via
a built-in base-band video sensor. There are two contact/voltage inputs
that can sense a dry-contact closure or a voltage change from 0-12VDC.
The threshold voltage is approximately 1.5VDC. It does not sense analog
voltage levels, nor does it sense AC voltage changes. There is a +12VDC
pin on the Contact connector that can be used to power external contact-type
devices such as a motion detector.
Remote Relay Box (RL6)
The RL6 Remote Relay Box contains
six dry-contact relays for controlling external devices, such as screens,
drapes, video lifts, and other closure-control equipment. Relays can be
set to normally open or normally closed with internal jumpers. All relays
have independent common connections, allowing a variety of devices to be
used with the RL6. Connection to external devices is via screw-down Phoenix
connectors on the rear panel.
Remote Contact Box (IN5)
The IN5 Remote Contact Box provides control inputs for up to five external
contact switches or closure-type devices. LEDs on the front panel indicate
power and link status. An ID button provides ID information to the Landmark
system that facilitates easy connection of the physical Remote Contact
Box with the correct Remote Contact Box in software.
PMB-IRI Mini IR Receiver
The AMX mini IR receiver can be unobtrusively placed at any convenient
location. It receives IR commands from the PLR-IR1 IR Remote Control and
transmits those commands to the Landmark system over a AMX Residential
network. It confirms valid commands by lighting a front-panel LED.
